This is a private link by invitation only for 50% down on the upcoming M49 microphone to be released sometime in 2026.  The projected cost for the baseline edition with our new custom made K49 capsule will be $2600 shipped and 50% down will be $1300.   We recommend this version for now, but we will experiment with OPR K47, imported M7, and OPR M7 once the unit goes into production and we will make recommendations based on those tests.  For right now, it is optimized to work with the capsule we've been developing for it with our designer.  We hope to begin shipping by the beginning of 3'd quarter 2026 (middle of year) but are currently taking deposits down for folks who want to be first in line, which will also help defray the massive metalworks deposit.
 
The SAE M49 is based on our reproduction of the most stable and clean circuit of the classic M49 (revision C, the final revision) with a number of additional enhancements, including for the first time ever a PSU-located relay-driven grayhill which to enable the 'true cardioid' easter-egg funcitionality of the original unit which was only before accessible by completely dismantling the microphone to clip a wire or flip a dip switch located in the high z deck beneath the capsule platform.  We selected a very nice NOS tube to base this product around, and we developed a BV11 replica based on the original German specimen.  
 
The microphone will come with a briefcase, traditional yoke, 3 pin XLR, 3 pin IEC hospital-grade power cable, and 7 pin IP66 cable (custom hand made) to go between the mic body and power supply.  We opted not to do a wooden box because we are trying to 'Tetris' in the mic, yoke, power supply, and cable set all into a briefcase without running into each other and this seemed to be the only way to get it all in there.  However, we are talking to a provider about making some custom wood boxes on request for those who want it.
