Several years in the making, we are now proud to offer a fully hand-built and designed 'from the ground up' replacement audiophile grade power supply for the Warm Audio WA-47 microphone. Requested for some time, it is here at long last.
Custom shielded and potted toroidal PSU transformer by Avel Lindberg, newly designed fully discrete circuit board with discrete regulator for filament/relay voltage and zener-diode regulated high voltage rail for B+ voltage and variable P+ voltage. Highest grade available components, including Nichicon Gold audiophile series capacitors, WIMA film capacitors, Belden silver-teflon wire, ultra-reliable Switchcraft connectors, and an insanely expensive insulated Grayhill rotary switch for pattern select control. Fused (plus spare internal fuse) and with voltage select capability for 115/230v operation (via internal slide switch) and no other calibration required. As much as could be point to point wired was done so, and wire lengths were kept tidy and to a minimum. Star grounded, balanced audio wire is twisted, shielding and dampening used where needed. The PSU should be dead silent, rugged, and last a lifetime (or two). Overkill perhaps; but the peace of mind that this spare supply can bring for those who make a living with this sort of equipment should not be underestimated.
Included a 20ft 7 pin Sommer XLR cable configured correctly for the WA-47. Also includes a 20ft Gotham 3 pin XLR.
Made to order and by request, this is not a stocked item; but we have all the materials here to build them as they are requested. The work begins once the order is placed.
Please note that this product is being formalized into a more readily manufacturable version, and the photographed version may differ slightly from the final production model (i.e. may be in my current PSU enclosure without the luggage handle, may have Neutrik connector for 3pin XLR, etc. Not much will change. This photo at time of listing is actually for the WA-251 but we also make the WA-47 replacement power supply. Don't worry about that.
