Just a quick update on things. NAMM was a great show and it was good seeing all of my extended pro audio family once again. As always, travel seemed to get derailed by crazy weather but I made it back finally!
Thanks again to everyone who poured in with orders to get in under the wire for the (now fully discontinued) WA tube mic mods. Now, if you'll excuse me I'll be spending the next 3 months in the workshop getting them all done... ugh... but seriously, thanks for these and thanks for your patience in advance. As most know, we ended the mic mods at the end of Dec, and allowed a few people who were stragglers to set up their orders manually through the month of January. Now, its 100% in the rear view mirror other than the 30 units I'll spend the next 90 days trying to get done and shipped out. Thanks again for the memories, and don't take this the wrong way but from here on out, any inquiries about these mods (other than legitimate service requests on past work, of course) will just get an automated/boilerplated response indicating that the mods were discontinued in 2025.
On that note, we also discontinued our WA-47 and WA-251 ultimate high end replacement power supplies; however we have one of each that are already built, pristine and with all the trimmings, packed up and ready to ship. If anyone happens to need one of these, speak now or forever hold your peace. We will not be making them again.
We are focused on getting our handcrafted builds out there and expanding that catalogue in the future. We are still working on an M49 for release sometime after middle of this year (metalwork is now in progress and about halfway done) and working on a few other possibilities as well. We temporarily have taken down the EF800 tube circuit offering for the U47 because we are doing a board re-design on that product, just a slight redesign of the mic board and tube socket board... nothing too series but something I want to get done before we offer it back up. it will be available again later this year. In the meanwhile, continue to please select the dual-tube version U47/U48 from our handcrafted mic offerings. We will also be announcing a new 'modern tube' version of the 47 later this year, based on the 12AT7, which will be our most advanced design to date and utterly future-proofed!
That's all for now, I have to get back to the grindstone...
Chad
